MRS Release Notifications

Introducing Release Notifications for the Microbiological Reporting System (MRS 3)

We're introducing a new way to keep up with everything happening in MRS 3.

Starting today, every new version of MRS will be accompanied by a dedicated news article on this website. Each article will walk through what's new in that release — new features, quality of life upgrades, bug fixes, and any changes you need to be aware of before you upgrade.

Why we're doing this

MRS is under continuous development, and we want to make sure our users always know what's changing and why. Release notes buried in a changelog are easy to miss. By publishing a proper news article for each version, we can explain updates clearly, provide context on new features, and flag anything that might affect your existing workflows.

Never miss an update

The most important part of this change: you can subscribe to receive an email whenever a new MRS release article is published.

In practice, this means our release announcements double as an update notification system. Instead of having to check back on the website or ask a colleague if anything's changed, you'll get an email the moment a new MRS version's news article goes live — letting you know an update is available and what it includes.

How to subscribe

You can subscribe for these notifications from the link below, just fill out the form and check the "MRS Updates" box. That's it, next time we release a version of MRS 3 we will deliver the details straight to your inbox!

What to expect going forward

From now on, whenever a new version of MRS is released, look out for:

  • A news article summarizing the release, published here on the website
  • An email notification (if you've subscribed) linking directly to that article
  • Clear guidance on any action needed on your part, such as required updates or configuration changes

We hope this makes it easier than ever to stay current with MRS. As always, if you have questions or feedback, feel free to get in touch with our support team.
