Emergency Box Management

EBM is an Emergency Box Management system for use in Hospital Pharmacy Departments. The system allows users to monitor the location and contents of Emergency Boxes, Anaphylaxis Kits and other kit types. The system allows you to setup a list of standard content for each kit type. Each kit is then given a kit number and type. Finally the batch numbers and expiry dates of each item can be entered to help track out of date boxes, and batch recalls.

The main benefits of the system include the ability to trace kits, and easily generate reports of out of date kits and their locations, as well as an audit trail of where the kit is and its contents. EBM was first developed in 2002 and has since gone through 3 versions, which have resulted massive changes and improvements to the system.

The system allows you to:

• Manage Emergency Boxes, Anaphylaxis Kits etc. across multiple sites and issue to individual ward locations.
• Record kit contents, including batch numbers and expiry dates.
• Quickly search find locations of any kit, including out of date kits, and batch recalls.
• Improve patient safety, by decreasing the time required to administer kits.
• Run a system across multiple computers or sites, without high levels of technical knowledge.
